Dr Blout is a local girl. After Geibel Catholic High School and St Vincent College, she pursued her life's dream of becoming a veterinarian at the University Of Pennsylvania School Of Veterinary Medicine in Philadelphia. Upon graduation, she decided to come back to her roots and practice in her hometown. She enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine but particularly wants to educate clients on how best help their pets. Dr Blout participates in numerous continuing education platforms to keep herself up to date with the most current treatment modalities. Patients are a priority, but when "off the clock" she spend time with her husband, family, friends and an assortment of pets.
Before becoming a part time receptionist for Blout Veterinary, Judy owned and operated her own business for 43 years before she thought it was time to retire. It didn't take her long to realize retirement was not for her. Her love of animals and karma brought her out of retirement. Judy loves her job and the staff she works with, but mostly loves the interaction with the animals and to see the compassion, dedication, care and help that is given every single day by each and every one at the clinic. In her free time, Judy makes whimsical wreaths and decorations for the clinic to give clients an enjoyable view while they wait
Chelsea joined our team in August of 2015. She has always handled and loved working with animals. She pursued her current position to help animals in need. Her experience in customer service, communications, and knowledge in product education allows her to help our clients maintain happy and healthy pets. She enjoys spending time at home playing with her three frisky feline fur babies, Tia, Tate, and Teegan. Her English Setter, Myles keeps her busy with daily walks and adventures in the field.
Madeleine graduated from Pierpont Community and Technical College with her degree in Veterinary Technology May 2013. Shortly after she graduated she joined the staff of Blout Veterinary, then in October passed her national exam and became a licensed PA veterinary technician. Her favorite part of the job is working with patients and being able to help them when sick, but more importantly keeping them healthy and happy through preventative care. At home she enjoys spending time with her husband and their dogs and cats.
Marilyn has been with us since Day 1 as part of our reception team. Marilyn enjoys the interaction with clients and our patients and is excited about educating in basic puppy and kitten care. Working part time enables her to spend her day with her dogs and cats as well as other critters on the farm.
